This documentary, deftly narrated by British actor Damien Lewis, revolves around English novelist George Orwell’s political observations, and how they remain relevant in our current political climate.
Interestingly, Haitian director Raoul Peck was granted exclusive cooperation from the Orwell Estate.
Effectively draws on George Orwell’s diaries and texts from his novels Animal Farm and 1984, along with images from film adaptations of the two books, to help to illuminate current threats to life and liberty. – Stephanie Bunbury, Sydney Morning Herald.
With this latest magnum opus, Raoul Peck has given us not just an invaluable, iris-out look at our present moment but the scariest movie of 2025 by a wide margin. – David Fear, Rolling Stone
