Set in Tuscany in the early seventies, Red Like the Sky is based on the true story of prominent Italian cinematic sound editor, Micro Mencacci, who was accidentally blinded as a child and must be sent to a boarding school for the blind.
The story tells how our hero struggles with his blindness in a cheerless atmosphere of religious oppression, culminating in the production of an epic sound fairy tale.
