By Longboat to Samkar is an observational short film produced by NFS member Arnold Kopf between 2020 and 2022. It captures an exotic river journey to the remote and isolated village of Samkar in eastern Myanmar (formerly Burma). The film has won numerous awards in Europe, Japan and America and is an interesting contrast to our feature documentary Shackleton.
